The true Rocky temperament is evident when meeting Jasper. His favorite “fans” are often the youngest who he always carefully lowers his head to greet. Many don’t even realize he is a stallion as he is so quiet-natured whether on the trails or in the show ring. He has proven himself in the show ring on several occasions, claiming the 2015 UMH World Grand Championship in the Trail Pleasure division. He was shown by both his trainer, Shaun Lyon, and his amateur-owner, Myranda Elliott. Myranda’s favorite quality about him is his super smooth gait and dancing tail. Currently he is enjoying semi-retired life breeding and producing beautiful, well-gaited foals.

Raising the Bar is the epitome of the Rocky Mountain Horse with all the desirable traits one could hope for in a breeding stallion and some. “Jasper” is the product of a carefully matched breeding. His sire is the well-known Choco-lot, one of the best producing stallions in the breed. His dam, Hershey’s Marilyn Monroe, was one of the winningest mares of the breed. His pedigree includes many of the greats like Kilburn’s Chocolate Sundown, Clemon’s Tim, Smith’s Ginger, Nuncio, and Choco.
